Mercy Education Project (MEP) is passionate about empowering girls & women by providing resources in education, workforce and life skills development and cultural enrichment.

We support over 250 females every year, primarily from the lower income communities of
Southwest Detroit.

MEP Programs and Outcomes

2018 -2019 MEP Program Year highlights

  • MEP exceeded the State of Michigan benchmarks in all academic levels tested.
  • During Program Year 2018 - 2019, MEP served 90 girls and 148 women.
  • (16) students in our women's program received their GED in 2018 and (14) in 2019.

  • During the 2018 - 2019 MEP program year, 12 high school senior girls received 55 college acceptance letters.
